THE DANCE OF DAYS { E-Zine, Autriche }
Natsat play jazzy post rock with an impressive instrumentation and at times with dark spoken vocals that reminded me of Surrounded (the Deep Elm band) from Sweden. There are a lot of comparisons at hand but what is the most obvious to me is the band's affectation for Dianogah with whom Natsat already shared a stage.
What stands out is the adoption of a Clarinet and Saxophone and before I forget to mention them also the cool loops and effects by a sequenzer every now and then, which fit well into the concept of Natsat. ?Angle" is a quite atmospheric release that never ever gets boring as the rhythms and melodies vary a lot. Another great surprise from the small french Space Patrol label, after the already good releases by Weeping Minds Of Silence.
Highly recommended!
